Tap Into Quality is a public education campaign created by Valley cities, Central Arizona Project (CAP) and Salt River Project (SRP) to educate citizens about their tap water. As an Arizona resident you should know that up to 100 tests a day are performed on the drinking water you receive at your home or business. These tests are repeated daily to ensure your water meets every health and safety standard set by the state and federal government. What's more, you can fill more than five one-gallon jugs with water from your tap for just one penny. As with many other drinks, your tap water may taste better if chilled, so fill a pitcher with water and put it in your refrigerator, or add a slice of lemon or lime for a flavor boost. Whatever your preference, Valley cities, CAP and SRP want you to be making an informed decision about how you use the water coming from you tap.
Tap Into Quality is affiliated with the AZ Water Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to professional and public education and awareness on issues related to Arizona’s drinking water, water use and environmental resources management.

Standards
Your tap water undergoes more than 100 quality tests and must meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) standards and Maricopa County Environmental Services Department standards.
